Mattel has unveiled its first-ever autistic Barbie doll, and she comes with several technology items, including noise-canceling headphones -- in Barbie pink.

The launch of the first autistic Barbie doll has been welcomed by campaigners as a step towards more "authentic, joyful" representation for neurodivergent children.

The new Barbie was developed in partnership with the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, which advocates for the rights and better media representation of people with autism.
